Czechoslovak Group Joins Forces with Czech Olympic Team as Lead Partner
A significant new chapter in Czech sport has begun with the announcement that CSG (Czechoslovak Group), a global industrial and technology group headquartered in the heart of Europe, has become the new general partner of the Czech Olympic Team for the years 2025 to 2029. This strategic partnership underscores a shared commitment to excellence, national representation, and the vital importance of societal health and physical fitness.

"The CSG brand shares values inherent in top-level sport. Just like the Czech Olympic Team, CSG represents the best of our country and contributes to strengthening the image of the Czech Republic as a confident and successful state," stated David Chour, Vice Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of CSG, highlighting the deep alignment between the two entities.
Supporting Excellence and Future Generations
The collaboration extends beyond supporting the national team at the highest level. CSG is also set to back specific, impactful projects crucial for the development and promotion of sports across the nation. These include:
- Czech Houses at the upcoming Olympic Games in Milan (2026) and Los Angeles (2028), providing a home-away-from-home for athletes and fans.
- Olympic Festivals, bringing the spirit of the Games to the public.
- Olympic Relay (Olympijský víceboj), the country's largest initiative dedicated to promoting physical activity and fitness among schoolchildren.
Jiří Kejval, Chairman of the Czech Olympic Committee, emphasized the critical focus on youth development. "Together with CSG, we see the biggest challenge today in the health and physical condition of our children. Fitness is a means to having a healthier and more resilient society, which is our goal. We are very pleased to partner with a company that cares about the future of our country."
David Chour further elaborated on CSG's motivation: "For thirty years, we have been developing our industrial legacy, innovating, and strengthening our defense capabilities. Supporting the Olympic team and societal fitness makes clear sense to us. We want to inspire young people to live active lives that bring them joy and help them find themselves."
CSG: A Global Powerhouse with Local Roots
CSG is a globally recognized leader in the defense, technology, and machinery industries, with a significant international footprint. Its production plants span numerous countries, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Italy, India, the United Kingdom, Serbia, Greece, Germany, and the USA. Domestically, its key companies include the renowned Czech car manufacturer Tatra Trucks. In Italy, CSG produces Perazzi weapons for sport shotgun shooting, famously used by Olympic champions, including David Kostelecký, a gold medalist from Beijing 2008 and silver medalist from Tokyo 2020.
Kateřina Petko, CSG's Communication and Marketing Director, articulated the company's philosophy behind the partnership: "The partnership with the Czech Olympic Team is not just a matter of prestige for us, but above all, values. We believe in hard work, determination, and the ability to pursue goals – and these principles connect top-level sport with our industrial group. Together with the Czech Olympic Committee, we want to motivate the younger generation to be active and show that success is born from perseverance and teamwork."
A Legacy of Sports and Societal Engagement
This new collaboration with the Czech Olympic Committee builds upon CSG's long-standing tradition of supporting sports. The group is a regular partner of the "Sparta vzdává hold" (Sparta Pays Tribute) project, an initiative by HC Sparta Prague dedicated to the components of the Integrated Rescue System. In the past, CSG has also supported professional ice hockey in Pardubice. Beyond traditional sports, Tatra Trucks and other CSG firms are strong supporters of motorsport, notably sponsoring the Buggyra racing team, which successfully competes in the grueling Dakar Rally. CSG companies also actively contribute to amateur sports in their respective regions of operation, and through one of the pillars of the newly established CSG Endowment Fund, even finance sports projects initiated by their own employees.
CSG's Broader Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility is a deeply ingrained aspect of CSG's corporate culture. As the group has grown, so too has the scope and impact of its philanthropic activities. CSG has, for example, maintained a multi-year partnership with the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, donating significant sums for leukemia research and advanced equipment. The group also actively supports culture, having been a partner of the prestigious Karlovy Vary International Film Festival for several years, and backing other significant cultural events regionally.
CSG also demonstrates its responsiveness to extraordinary events; last year, it donated eleven Tatra trucks to the Czech Fire Rescue Service, immediately enhancing their capacity to mitigate flood consequences. Furthermore, CSG has been a consistent provider of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, supplying generators, power stations, and drones to affected municipalities and frontline units. In 2025, CSG formalized its charitable endeavors by establishing the CSG Endowment Fund, structured around three core pillars:
- Support for volunteer firefighters and Integrated Rescue System components
- Support for the education of talented young people
- Support for its own employees who initiate non-profit projects
The partnership between CSG and the Czech Olympic Team thus represents a powerful synergy, not only poised to elevate Czech elite sports on the global stage but also to foster a healthier, more active, and more resilient future for the nation's youth, all underpinned by CSG's robust commitment to societal well-being and shared values of perseverance and success.
